No city looks good with crooked, broken walls. Potholes in every corner and dust flying through your lungs. Sadly enough that is the truth for most of the cities in India. To make a difference Berger Paints India has taken a step for the beautification of a fragment of the city while preserving the heritage of the particular part. The brilliant initiative has been taken to bring about a little change in the massacre we call “Kolkata”.
Berger Paints India has started to paint walls of certain parts of Kolkata. The move has been mainly taken for two objectives. First, for the beautification of the city and second to promote homegrown artists for the splendid job they do. Bloggers and influencers of the city including myself were invited by Berger paints to witness the change.
Artists Barun Saha and Rintu Roy along with their students has been phenomenal with their art, preserving the uniqueness of the location while painting a modern art on the broken walls. Berger paints took a lot of time and effort to take necessary permissions required by local authorities and prepare these walls as a canvas for the painters to show their creativity.
For the art to last longer and wither the harsh weather and air quality that our city suffers, Berger Weather Coat was applied to ensure the longevity of the beautiful art forms.
The initiative if not a lot have brought a minute change to the look and feel of the area. Where a passerby could stand, appreciate and forget about his stressful life for a few moments before moving on. We hope that this great start would continue in various forms and our city would become the most beautiful anyone ever witnesses. Thank you Berger Paints India for an outstanding work and giving back to the society.
P.S – Thank yo, Berger Paints India for inviting me and making me a part of the same.
